Politics and Femininity, Are the sisters of the Traveling Pantsuits anti feminist?

I saw a Rally with them recently and they look more like men in disguise to me! Like as in totally unattractive, and not the least bit feminine! So why are they calling Sarah an anti feminist? When she is the living embodiment of femininity? what do lesbians have to do with femininity, they are so not feminine, and they should not get married either!

2. I am kind of confused on that myself, I think it has something to do with abortion, femininity is a Holy Grail and would never consent to abortion! I think if you want to advocate femininity you should at least be feminine looking! And a lot of these people look to old to have kids anyway, like they are in their 50 and 60 ,....so it is a control issue!

5. I couldnt agree with you more. Hillary clinton acted like a man in almost every respect. She dressed like a man, talked like a man, thought like a man. I lost any support(not respect, just support) I had for her when she stayed with her husband who sticks his d*ck in anything he can, so she could further her own political career! That is not something a real woman does. A real woman leaves the a-hole then proceeds to make it on her own. Hillary made women look weak and like they had to stand behind a man to make a name for themselves. As far as the anti-sarah movement. I find it disgusting and I think feminists are really setting themselves back a couple decades, by showing how petty and vindictive they are. They cant even bring themselves to show respect for her in a public forum. They are acting like hs girls whose clique is being threatened by the new "wierd" girl in town. Its disgusting. Sarah stands up for a different kind of woman. The kind that is perfectly capable of making it on her own. She doesnt ask for help and she doesnt advocate for women like we are helpless. She is empowering. She is a woman and she isnt ashamed or afraid to be that. Shes shows that being feminine and powerful is possible. Thank you for listening to my rant : ) BTW Crystal (below me a few answers) is completely wrong. Sarah doesnt want to make abortion illegal. She says she would like roe v wade overturned and turn the power over to the states. Overturning Roe v Wade would most likely nevermake it through congress, but even if it did, Sarah would leave it up to the states to determine if it is legal in that state or not. She is not outlawing abortions.

You are very young obviously, actually all these feminists, like Hillary supporters , just need control over something, and they have no control over their bodies, a lot of them are so out of Shape......get to the Gym if you want Control over your Body!.... I'd like to add, that it's very telling that Gloria Steinem, renowned feminist, defended Clinton when he was caught with Paula Jones, how's THAT for hypocritical? 9. Although I have nothing against women who dress or look like men, I think these so called "feminists" are threatened by Governor Palin. Here you have a very attractive, accomplished woman that is doing -everything-, including raising 5 children, and doing it without sacrificing her femininity or good nature. Her very success makes their blood boil.^
10. I think the issue is that you have a very narrow view of femininity. Just because someone's pretty doesn't mean that they are a strong woman and an embodiment of feminism, my friend. A pretty face doesn't mean anything as far as that's concerned. But I guess I don't have room to talk. I wear heels and jeans. I lost my health in the Marine Corps. I like football. I wear make-up. I like girl talk. I like beer. I wear dresses. I wear button-down shirts. I've had long hair. I've had short hair. I've giggled. I've snorted. I lift weights. I do yoga. Heaven forbid a woman be a solid human being instead of just something pretty to look at. I'm glad people like you just sit there and look pretty while the rest of us contribute to society. I can't imagine the damage you would try to force on the country if your partially formed thoughts and superficial decisions inserted into your head by society ever made it anywhere important.

You are going by a rule in your own mind, that to be feminine you have to be pretty and look feminine. Not so. ***
12. Many lesbians hate their femininity and thus behave and dress in masculine ways to repel men. Many lesbians hate women who enjoy being women. Lesbians are angry at someone or something, like many people who have a chip on their shoulder, and for various reasons have chosen to express it by trying to become men while degrading women and making them think that it is wrong to love your children and husband and be happily married. It is an extreme perversion in many ways. Case in point: I have a colleague who is a lesbian. She is an amazing person, and I love working with her. Everyone does. The other day a male colleague of ours mistakenly referred to her as "Mrs." My sweet, funny colleague turned into the spawn of satan, and I thought she was going to strangle the poor guy for his little slip of the tongue. She is very angry inside and no one knows why.
